Information about our services to help you make your decisions:

Sterilization: surgery to make an animal unable to produce offspring.

Ovariohysterectomy This is a surgical procedure during which a female's ovaries and uterus are removed performed under general anesthesia.

Castration is the surgical removal of a male's testicles performed under general anesthesia.

Cryptorchidism is the absence of one or both testicles from the scrotum. In some cases, the testicle may be located in the subcutaneous tissues in the groin region, between the inguinal canal and the scrotum. In cases of abdominal cryptorchidism, the testicle cannot be felt from the outside.

Pre-Anesthetic Bloodwork: Helps makes sure your pet can handle anesthesia and recover. We will require Comprehensive Chemistry and CBC for all dental procedures. The doctor may require bloodwork for other procedures based on the pets condition and medical history of the pet. Otherwise, we always recommend blood work prior to anesthesia

Pre-op: Checks basic liver and kidney functions and glucose.

Comprehensive Chemistry: In depth look aliver, kidney, and organ functions.

CBC: (Complete Blood Count): Checks for infection, anemia, and dehydration.

CoagPT/aPTT Combo Test: Checks that your pets clotting times are within normal for surgery.

IV catheter: Anesthesia lowers blood pressure, and it can be difficult to find a vein to administer emergency medication. An IV catheter allows us direct access.

IV catheter with fluids: Includes IV catheter placement and regulates your pets blood pressure under anesthesia, and helps them recover faster by perfusing the liver and kidneys of anesthesia.

Vaccinations: Vaccines stimulate the immune system's production of antibodies that identify and destroy disease-causing organisms that enter the body. Vaccines provide immunity against one or several diseases that can lessen the severity or prevent certain diseases altogether.

Microchip: It’s the only way to prove ownership and identity. It's a radio frequency chip the size of a grain of rice. It’s placed under the skin between the shoulder blades. We use PetLink microchips that come with Lifetime International Registration.

HeartwormHeartworm disease is contracted through mosquitoes. It is very painful and can be fatal. Prevention is affordable and effortless. You need to test for heartworms before giving prevention if your pet is 6-months or older.

Baby Teeth (Deciduous teeth): Sometimes the adult teeth don’t push out the baby teeth, especially in small dogs. Leaving them can cause dental disease.

Umbilical Hernia Repair: The abdominal wall behind the belly button is damaged or open. This can allow fat and abdominal contents to come out. It's not common, but if we find your pet has one, we’ll strongly encourage you let our doctor fix it while your pet is already under general anesthesia.

Dew Claw Removal: Our doctors do not recommend removing dew claws. It's often an unnecessarypainful, and difficult amputation with a difficult recovery. The procedure often requires multiple rechecks.  We advise just keeping the nails trimmed. Our doctors may decline the surgery.
