Spay and Neuter of Salt Lake is a HQHVSN (High Quality, High Volume Spay and Neuter) clinic. Our clinic is very busy, yet very efficient. Our team of veterinary professionals work hard to maintain a fast paced high quality of work.
We try to keep wait times under 45 minutes. However, helping everyone effectively and safely takes more time. Some wait times may be up to an hour and a half or more. When you arrive, you may experience heavy traffic in the area. Please park in our parking lot located just west of our building or park on 4800 south. Please do not park on Center Street. The roads are busy, so please have your pet complete secure before opening the car.
Please let us know as soon as possible if your pet is people or animal reactive or aggressive. We can coordinate with you and the team to help your pet in the least stressful way possible. For surgery appointments, plan to stay at the clinic in the morning for an hour or two in case we need help handling your pet. Some aggressive pets will be referred to a full service clinic where they are better equipped to accommodate your pets needs.
We do require all cats come in a fully functioning carrier for their safety. Unfortunately, clients in the past have lost their pets while trying to kennel them in our parking lot. We do not want to see this happen again. We highly recommend you have your pet in the carrier and ready before arriving to the clinic. We do offer cardboard carriers for a small fee.
Our Vaccine Clinic is first come first served on Friday and Saturday only from 9am-3pm. However, we may have to perform scheduled surgery recheck exams before we perform vaccine appointments. We appreciate your patience as we do our best to help each client and patient as efficiently and safely as we can.
Please contact us with any questions or to set up your pets appointment. We are always looking to improve our client communication. If you feel like we should add some information to this site, please let us know. Thank you.
